This is a casual meetup for anyone who wants to learn about information security.  It’s an opportunity to ask questions, get help with problems, and help each other learn.  Feel free to come with your own topics to explore, or just follow along with others.

Examples:

• How to secure your phone
• How to think about infosec in the age of mass surveillance
• How to install and use email encryption
• Techniques for keeping your communications private
• Switching to Linux
• Protecting your anonymity

All skill levels are welcome.
Women, queer and trans folks (and other people traditionally excluded from tech discussions) are especially welcome.

This will be a hands-on workshop. If you have a computer and/or smartphone, bring it.
